Virtual Coaching SessionsPrior to the Shelter in Place order due to COVID-19 Pandemic, SCLC had offered some virtual coaching sessions for clients who were unable to meet in person. They were for local clients with periodic transportation challenges, and for clients who wanted to continue sessions after moving out of state or country. These virtual sessions were only offered to clients as needed and were not widely advertised, as face to face sessions were our focus.
With the change in times, SCLC has learned to adapt, grow, and strengthen its virtual coaching program and is now effectively offering virtual sessions. At SCLC, we would like to learn from any experiences whether they were expected or unexpected...this is why we will continue to offer virtual coaching sessions in order to provide support to people who otherwise would not receive it. Virtual sessions has opened our doors to reach anyone in the world on an on-going basis! Virtual sessions may be idea for... 1. Individual social skills coaching for adults or children when transportation or travel time is a barrier. 2. Sibling coaching - two or more siblings working on communication and problem solving skills through play and/or discussions. Session style/plans will vary greatly based on age of the children and challenging areas. 3. Parent coaching - providing basic to more complex parenting coaching specific to your family's needs. This has been especially helpful as parents had to quickly adapt to distance learning and complete change in family dynamic. |
